Telcel, a subsidiary of América Móvil, deployed their 5G network in more than 125 Mexican cities, which reaches over more than 10 million users in the country.

“Telcel's 5G infrastructure is the most extensive in Mexico, it offers the highest download speeds and, additionally, it is the most efficient in its operation, since it has a system that allows energy savings and balance its capacity according to user demand”, the company said in a press release. Telcel offers more than 100 devices from 12 manufactures for their clients.

5G network allows access to remote medicine, e-learning and development of new abilities across online training. Some industries use the Telcel network in new business cases that helps for their productivity.

In 2022, América Móvil launched its 5G network with an investment over 1.8 billion dollars in Mexico.

Telcel has 83.8 million total wireless users in Mexico including 3G, 4G and 5G networks access, according to América Móvil’s fourth quarter of 2023 financial and operating report.
